PRODUCT & SYSTEM QUESTIONS
For most residential garages, we recommend Epoxy Flake or Polyurea Flake. Polyurea is worth the premium in climates with significant temperature swings. Metallic epoxy is popular for high-end showroom-style garages.
Polyurea cures faster, is more flexible (resists cracking), handles wider temperature ranges (-20°F to 140°F), and is UV-stable. Epoxy is more cost-effective for standard indoor applications.
Yes — crack repair is part of our standard prep process. We assess crack type (structural vs. cosmetic) and recommend appropriate repair methods.
A coating (epoxy, polyurea) is a resin-based product applied on top of concrete. An overlay is a thin cementitious layer that creates a new concrete surface.
Yes — several systems are specifically designed for exterior use (polyurea, spray deck, broom finish, epoxy sand finish, decorative quartz). Interior systems like metallic epoxy and microtop are for indoor use only.
After Installation
POST-INSTALL QUESTIONS
Light foot traffic is typically permitted after 24–48 hours. Vehicle traffic requires a full 7-day cure for most systems. Your installation team will provide system-specific guidance at closeout.
Use a pH-neutral cleaner and damp mop or soft-bristle brush. Avoid bleach, ammonia, and citrus-based cleaners. See our Maintenance & Cleaning page for detailed system-specific instructions.
Document with photos and contact us at businessdevelopment@wickedkolorsinc.com with your Lead number. Our team will assess and address covered warranty items at no charge.
With proper maintenance: epoxy/polyurea flake systems last 10–20+ years residential. Polished concrete lasts the lifetime of the building. Cementitious overlays typically 5–15 years before refinishing.
